Purpose

Our Purpose for Building Blocks is to educate and upskill PS employees on Web3 related technologies. We will achieve this by producing educational content; fostering collaboration across capabilities; and providing opportunities for active learning by creating an environment to test, learn and iterate.

Objectives

The main objectives of the group are to:

• Increase retention of employees by discussing cutting edge/disruptive technology
• Act as incubator for ideas of potential client work – POCs and client engagements
• To potentially include on the PS learning curriculum to position PS as a leader in the space
• Create a platform for SPEED capabilities to implement practical skills related to Blockchain/Web3

Overview

This group is aimed at Publicis employees across regions and capabilities. We aim to cover the following topics related to Web3: Introduction to Web3 and Blockchain, The Metaverse, Tokens, NFTs, Governance and DeFi. More information can be found in our topic roadmap.

• Producing educational content on various Web3 topics and concepts. Each topic will be separated into basic, intermediate and advanced levels to accommodate all levels of learning.

• Hosting bi-monthly Lunch and Learn sessions to dive deeper into key topics as a community.
• Organising panel discussions with industry and thought leaders to inform community members on the applications of Web3 technologies.
• Providing community members with hands on experience by facilitating workshops related to the topic roadmap.

• Providing a forum on MS Teams for community members to engage with openness within a curated platform.
• Hold group-wide connects at the end of each month for people to share experiences and learnings whilst encouraging an inclusive learning environment.
• Organising group socials related to VR, the Metaverse and Web3 applications to actively participate in the next frontier of technology.

Our Roadmap

Overview of Each Topic

• Self-paced learning content is released at the beginning of each month*
• Lunch & Learn session will be held in the UK (live) and recorded for other viewers on the first or second Wednesday of the month
• Marcel Articles that promote Building Blocks’ latest learnings will be published on the first Tuesday of each topic
• Workshops offer members opportunities to build proof of concepts with the new skills they’re learning, towards the end of a topic on a Wednesday
• Discussions with outside experts are a great opportunity to learn more about the practical use of Web3 technologies and ask questions, held throughout the month
